Have you ever felt as a kid, the experience of being excluded, insulted, or even physically hurt by others, if so you’re not alone. In fact, one out of every five people has experienced bullying at least once. This makes it a global issue that demands attention and a solution.
Hi, I’m Alvaro Abad, a 16-year-old student at the Aquinas American School,
and in this blog, I will discuss the reasons for the frequency of bullying, why it happens and the different types of bullying people face nowadays, in addition, I want to talk about my own experience as a teenager here at Aquinas American School.
First, I want to discuss the exponential growth and frequency of bullying.
In the last decade, bullying has changed radically, leading to a massive amount of bullying. The causes for someone to become a bully are directly related to the values learned at home such as:
As I mentioned before bullying has changed, and this has led to different types of them.
Physical Bullying, Verbal Bullying, Emotional Intimidation, Racist Bullying, Sexual Bullying, and finally the most common nowadays Cyberbullying, its presence is everywhere and has caused huge damage to some of the victims who have suffered it. We will talk more about the effects of bullying and more in the next post.
